Loevenstein Crime Trend. Armed Response Officer Groenewald was dispatched to a premises in Rhebok Close, Loevenstein after it was reported that there was a positive break-in. He arrived at the premises at approximately 18h52 and spoke to the owner. It was reported that small items were taken from the wendy-house in the backyard. The electric fence was cut and the wendy-house door was damaged. The owner mentioned that he would go report the incident to SAPS himself.
Following this incident, there was another attempt at approximately 02h46 on 22/01/2021 and then again at 04h41. Suspects were seen fleeing the premises, onto the N1. Bellville SAPS were dispatched.
Serving the Community, Panorama. While patrolling, Armed Response Officer Stassen noticed a horse-cart without a back wheel. He approached and it was found that they had no paperwork, no food or water for the horse. The Cart-horse association was contacted. The horse was taken away as it was quite neglected and it won’t be on the road again. It is unclear how the cart drivers were reprimanded.
