What happens behind the scenes when you need us:
POSSIBLE BURGLARY
Alarm Signal
Step 1
Your alarm is activated and the signal is sent to DISTRICT MONITORING via telephone and / or radio.
Step 2
DISTRICT MONITORING will then verify the signal and your password by contacting you on your home phone number.
Step 3
If there is no answer / an incorrect password or hesitation with imparting the correct password, a response vehicle will be dispatched.
Step 4
The response officer will inspect the premises for any signs of forced entry and then feed back to our Central Station. If there are no visible signs of attempted burglary or suspicious circumstances, the response officer will leave a ‘drop slip’ containing the full details of the call out and leave the premises.
Step 5
If there is any visible signs of burglary or suspicious circumstances, the client will be contacted on the alternative numbers provided i.e. work or cellphone.
HELP IS ON THE WAY
Panic Signal
Step 1:
If you have pushed your panic button all available response vehicles are dispatched to your residence immediately, following which, DISTRICT MONITORING will attempt to contact you.
Step 2:
This procedure applies to all panic activations including fire and medical.
STEALTH ALERT
Ambush Duress Signal
Step 1:
In this situation, you may have been followed into your residence by an intruder and ordered to deactivate your alarm.
Step 2:
You will have a special alarm code to enter that will alert DISTRICT MONITORING that you are under duress.
Step 3:
The special code will deactivate your alarm as if it was your normal code but DISTRICT WATCH will be alerted of your situation and all response vehicles will be dispatched immediately. DISTRICT MONITORING will not attempt to contact you in this situation.
POSSIBLE BURGLARY
CCTV Monitoring
Step 1
The CCTV system using its advanced Video Analytics capabilities like Human or Vehicle Detection, Line crossing, Intrusion Zones etc, which acts as an alarm system generates activation signals sent to DISTRICT MONITORING. (Requires specific CCTV equipment with advanced video analytic capabilities compatible with DISTRICT MONITORING).
Step 2
DISTRICT MONITORING will then verify the activation by accessing the pre and post alarm footage of the CCTV system and determine the nature of the activation.
Step 3
If a threat is detected on the footage, a response vehicle will be dispatched, and the client notified.
POSSIBLE BURGLARY
CCTV Verification
Step 1
Your alarm is activated either by an Alarm, Panic or Ambush Duress signal, the signal is send to DISTRICT MONITORING (Requires an Alarm and a basic CCTV System that is compatible with DISTRICT MONITORING).
Step 2
DISTRICT MONITORING will then verify the activation by accessing the pre and post alarm footage of the CCTV system and determine the nature of the activation.
Step 3
If a thread is detected on the footage, a response vehicle will be dispatched, and the client notified.
AWAY FROM HOME?
Standing Orders
A unique service to District Watch is the Standing Order System. The Standing Order System consists of the following services at no additional cost:
In the instance that you are going away and need regular checks done on your residence or your post to be collected, DISTRICT WATCH will do so.
If your children are home alone or with a baby sitter – DISTRICT WATCH will periodically check in until you are home.
District Watch will investigate suspicious activities on and around your premises should you hear or see anything.
